Mr. Suyat specializes in patent prosecution and counseling in the chemical arts, specifically, organic chemistry, medical devices and implants, polypeptides, polymers, pharmaceutical compositions and chemical processes.
Prior to joining WAVS IP, Mr. Suyat was a principal with Fish & Richardson P.C. Prior to that he was a Principal with Heller, Ehrman, White & McAuliffe and a Partner in the firm of Flehr, Hobach, Test Albritton & Herbert. He has been a patent attorney at Chevron and is a former U.S. Patent Examiner in the polypeptide art.
While attending the University of Washington, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, Mr. Suyat was elected to Phi Beta Kappa academy honorary and Phi Lambda Upsilon Chemistry honorary societies. He is a past president of the San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association.
