David Tran has more than 18 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution. Representative technologies include e-commerce, digital payments, network communications, broadcast programming, cloud computing, data storage, database and application software, encryption, computer architecture, mobile computing, and low power consumption. His previous legal experience includes practicing at IP firms in Silicon Valley and San Francisco and as a patent attorney at Intel.
Prior to law school, Mr. Tran worked as a computer programmer/engineer for IBM. He also has experience as a founder of a Fintech start-up.
Mr. Tran earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington, his Masters of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Santa Clara University and his Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School. Mr. Tran is a member of the California State Bar and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
