Dr. Haliday specializes in strategic patent planning and analysis, patent prosecution, and counseling. She has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the biotechnology area, having worked to protect proprietary recombinant DNA techniques and constructs, recombinant proteins, methods of protein purification and characterization, DNA microarray technology, bioinformatics inventions, tissue engineering methods, medical diagnostics, vaccines, therapeutic methods and agents, methods and compositions for drug delivery, and polymers.

Dr. Haliday graduated from Wesleyan University, where she was a recipient of the Elizabeth Drake Scholarship. While obtaining her Ph.D. at Stanford University School of Medicine, she carried out research in the area of molecular biology and biochemistry. Dr. Haliday is a graduate of the University of California Davis School of Law where she was a Notes and Comments Editor of the UC Davis Law Review and received the Patrick J. Hopkins award for the best published law review article.

Prior to joining Weaver Austin Villeneuve & Sampson LLP, Dr. Haliday was Of Counsel at the Quine Intellectual Property Law Group, P.C. and, previous to that, was a partner at Skjerven Morrill MacPherson, LLP.
