Siraj Husain

Siraj Husain is a patent attorney at WAVS IP.  With over 15 years of legal experience in both law firm and in-house settings, Siraj has helped companies at all stages of growth with practical legal counsel tailored to their business goals. 

Siraj’s practice includes developing and managing patent portfolios, conducting invention mining sessions, building in-house patent programs, drafting and negotiating licensing and joint venture agreements, preparing opinions and competitive analyses, conducting IP training sessions, and more.  

With his diverse work experience, Siraj understands intellectual property strategy from a business perspective and the importance of aligning legal strategy with business strategy.  He has supported many of the largest technology companies in Silicon Valley with their patent portfolios.  He leverages this wealth of experience to provide his clients with practical and efficient legal counsel.

Siraj was most recently deputy general counsel and senior director of IP at AEye, Inc., a publicly traded lidar company, and previously a partner at an AmLaw 50 law firm. Prior to his legal career, Siraj was a system administrator at UCLA where he engineered and supported campus infrastructure and disaster recovery.
